The Spokesperson for the Delta state police command, SP Bright Edafe, has noted that whenever police officers come to someone’s house, to either investigate or to arrest someone without arrest warrant as permitted by law, it is the duty of the individual to open the door and not to lock them out.
Speaking further, the police spokesperson made it known that the police have the power to “ingress and engress,” thereby urging Nigerians to always know the right thing to do.
SP Bright Edafe made this disclosure in a post he made on his official X handle on Tuesday afternoon, while reacting.
He wrote: “When you are done dragging me like diesel generator, still have it at the back of your mind that when the police come to your house either on investigation or arrest with or without warrant as permitted by law (not mask wearing policemen), its your duty to open and not lock them out.”
