Adams Oshiomhole, a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC), has weighed in on the appointment of his son as health commissioner in Edo State.
Recall that Cyril Oshiomhole was appointed as a commissioner for health by the Governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo.
Things took a different turn as Nigerians described the appointment as a state capture, labelling it as a reward for his father’s support in the Edo state gubernatorial election.
However, during an interview with Channels Television 0:17, the Nigerian senator, Oshiomhole, relayed his long-term opposition to his son’s involvement in politics.
He recounted how he had stopped his son from contesting for membership in the House of Representatives and endorsed someone else.
According to the video, “When I was in Edo, I stopped him when he wanted to contest for the House of Reps; I said no and supported another guy.”.
