Mustapha Bukar has shared his painful experience of losing his parents during a Boko Haram terrorist attack in Borno.

Speaking in an interview with Channels TV  from 1:00, Bukar disclosed that he was just seven years old when he witnessed the tragic event. He said his mother and father were killed right in front of him by the insurgents. He said this happened in Bama Local Government Area, a place that was severely affected by the crisis.

Bukar disclosed that after his parents were killed, he embarked on a long and difficult journey. He explained that he had to walk all the way from Bama to Konduga town, a distance of about 25 miles, in just one day.

In Bukar’s words: “When I was 7 years old, I saw both of my parents killed in my presence. That happened to me in Bama Local Government Area of Borno state during the Boko Haram insurgency. Then we now trekked from Bama to Konduga which is 25 miles in a day”
