Segun Showunmi, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has shared his excitement after visiting some of the major federal road projects currently being built by the Tinubu-led administration. Showunmi spoke during an interview with TVC News from 12.24, where he described what he saw as “a life-changing experience.”
According to him, one of the most impressive projects was the Port Harcourt–Aba Road in Abia State. He said the joy and excitement of the people living in that area deeply moved him.
“The one that blew me over was Abia. If anybody says Nigerians hate the federal government, that person is a joker,” Showunmi said. “I have never seen people so happy and appreciative of development. When I saw that Port Harcourt–Aba Road, people were jumping, running, and even splashing water in celebration for hours. I burst into prayers, saying, ‘Oh God, preserve Baba,’ because the appreciation I saw was real and full of love.”
Showunmi added that after visiting the Aba road, he and the Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, continued their journey toward Enugu, and what he saw shocked him.
“When we drove from Aba towards Enugu, I started screaming in the car. The Southeast has better roads than the Southwest. You have better federal roads than us,” he said. See, More, Here>>>
