In a recent video from 07:45 on i24 Tv, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has urged citizens to remain resilient and follow government safety guidelines as military operations continue across parts of Israel, particularly in areas near the northern front.
Addressing the nation during a security briefing, Netanyahu acknowledged the hardships faced by civilians but emphasized that public cooperation is essential to achieving the objectives of the ongoing military campaign.
“I know this isn’t easy. I know this is very hard, especially in the north,” Netanyahu said while speaking about the challenges faced by communities living close to areas affected by the conflict.
He stressed that adherence to emergency instructions issued by authorities and the defense establishment is not only about personal safety but also about supporting the country’s broader security strategy.
“By adhering to these guidelines, you’re also saving lives and giving the breathing room and support to me, to the Israeli government, to the IDF and the defense establishment to achieve the objectives of the operation,” he said, referring to the Israel Defense Forces.
Netanyahu also highlighted what he described as the unique resilience of Israelis during times of crisis. Recalling a conversation with former United States President Donald Trump, the prime minister said Trump once expressed surprise at the determination shown by Israeli citizens even during wartime.
“Trump told me once, only in Israel are the emergency flights the opposite,” Netanyahu said. “Everywhere in the world they want to flee the war, but only with you in Israel, everyone wants to come back.”
The Israeli leader attributed this phenomenon to a deep sense of national identity and historical continuity among the population.
“When he asked me where that spirit comes from, I told him this is the secret of our success,” Netanyahu said.
He concluded by praising the resilience and faith of the Israeli people, stating that their determination plays a crucial role in the country’s ability to withstand challenges.
“It comes from the steadfastness of our people and the sense of belief in the eternity of the people of Israel,” he said.
