The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has narrated how God miraculously paved the way for the church’s registration in Israel, despite strong opposition to Pentecostal movements in the country.
Preaching during a sermon from 01:57:40, Adeboye emphasized the authority of God as the “King of Kings” who prepares unlikely people to fulfill His purpose. “When we are dealing with the King of Kings, he has a way of preparing people in advance who, as reluctant as they may be, will still be used to bring you to where God wants you to be,” he said.
Sharing a personal testimony, the cleric recalled his encounter with Nigeria’s ambassador to Israel when RCCG sought to establish its first parish there. “I went to our ambassador, a wonderful man, and I told him, ‘Sir, we want to register the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Israel.’ He laughed,” Adeboye recounted.
The ambassador, according to Adeboye, explained why the request seemed impossible. “He said, ‘Everybody knows that the best friend of Israel is America. They have told America you can bring Catholic, Anglican, Baptist, but don’t bring anything called Pentecostal here. If they can say no to America, and now you are coming from Nigeria, and you want to start a church?’ He laughed.”
Undeterred, Adeboye replied with conviction: “Sir, but my own case will be different. In the name that is above every other name, your own will be different.”
Eventually, the ambassador agreed to forward the application letter, despite his doubts. “I just want you to help me take the letter,” Adeboye recalled telling him. “You are an ambassador, so you can walk in where I can’t enter.”
Six months later, RCCG was officially registered in Israel, a breakthrough Adeboye described as an act of divine intervention. “In the name of the one who is called the King of Kings, every door that has been shut against you shall be opened,” he declared to the congregation. See, More, Here>>>
