Apostle Johnson Suleman has recounted a personal encounter that shaped his perspective on handling fellow believers who struggle with weaknesses. During a sermon at Omega Fire Ministries International from 02:16:24, the preacher shared how he once came across a brother consuming alcohol.

Instead of condemning or publicly exposing him, Suleman revealed that he chose to respond with compassion and prayer. “When I see a brother drinking alcohol, what does the Lord say I should do? I hold his hand. I pray for him. I talk to him,” he explained.

The cleric condemned the habit of Christians who rush to expose others’ struggles in church groups or on public platforms. “I don’t come to the platform and say, ‘Hey, look at what I just saw. There are some people here who still drink.’ No. That’s not what the Bible prescribes,” he warned.

He further cautioned against the culture of grading sin, pointing out that while some criticize those who drink alcohol, they themselves may be guilty of malice, gossip, or other hidden faults. “We don’t grade sin. Yours may not be alcohol, it may be malice. God does not grade sin,” he stressed.

Citing the biblical account of Uzzah, who was struck dead for trying to prevent the ark of God from falling, Suleman said believers must learn that God cannot fall. “Uzzah thought the ark wanted to fall, but it was only gaining balance. God killed him because God cannot fall,” he explained.

The preacher concluded that Christians should replace judgment with intercession, urging believers to strengthen one another in love rather than shame each other publicly. “What you owe your brother is prayer, not public condemnation,” Suleman declared. Explore , More , News>>>
