Senate President Godswill Akpabio has expressed his satisfaction after Senator Monday Okpebholo the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate, backed by Adams Oshiomhole, secured a win in Edo State. Okpebholo defeated the PDP candidate, who was supported by Governor Godwin Obaseki
In a live coverage by Symfoni TV from 0:59, Akpabio praised Oshiomhole for overcoming Obaseki. He said Oshiomhole has “finally seen the back of Obaseki”. He also said that the APC’s victory in Edo is a reflection of what will happen in the upcoming elections in Ondo State. Akpabio extended his congratulations to the APC candidate, Okpebholo, for the victory also appreciated the stakeholders in Edo, including the Director General of the campaign and other supporters for their contributions to the success of the APC candidate.
In Akpabio’s words: “What happened in Edo is reflection of what will happen in Ondo. I want to congratulate Okpebholo and congratulate Oshiomhole for finally seeing the back of Obaseki.
