In a recent video on YouTube from 1 hour 00 minutes 58 seconds, Pastor Enoch Adeboye recently recounted a harrowing experience during a flight that highlighted his deep connection with God. In a sermon, he shared that he was traveling first class when an unexpected situation arose— the plane faced a serious issue, causing fear among the passengers, including many influential figures.
He recounted how God spoke to him during that tense period, indicating that the incident was a divine setup to capture his full attention. God used the opportunity to communicate important future revelations to him. Adeboye likened this experience to the biblical account of Elijah, who was guided by God to find Elisha to continue his prophetic ministry.
According to him, “remember years ago, some of you have heard the story, when I was traveling to London on our beloved Nigeria Airways of blessed memory. Suddenly, just before we began to descend, the captain announced that the door at the belly of the plane refused to open. The implication of that was that the tires couldn’t come out, and unless something happened, we were going to crash. I’m telling you, anointing or no anointing, I was afraid.”
“On that particular day, like I’ve told the story before, I was traveling first class because someone bought the ticket. There were all manners of big people there, and all of a sudden, we realized that the rich also fear death. There was all manner of commotion, and I said, “Oh God, you didn’t tell me this is how it’s going to end. I was saying goodbye to my children yesterday, you didn’t tell me that was the last time I would see them.”
“But He spoke to me and said, “No, no, no, I want to talk to you because I know as soon as you land, the people won’t let us have time.” So the plane kept going round and round. The pilot was trying to calm everyone, but the reality was that we might not survive.
“During that period of commotion, when God saw He had gotten my attention, He told me some things about the future. May I pray that the mountain where you will be able to hear God more clearly, the Almighty God will bring it your way very soon, amen. Because it is on the mountain where you can hear God more clearly that He can tell you about your legacy, about who will continue the work you have been doing. It’s on that mountain that God told Elijah, “There is a boy called Elisha; go and get him.”….Vìêw–Morê
