Retired U.S. Army General Jack Keane has said that the United States and Israel are approaching critical milestones in their efforts against Iran, though he cautioned that Tehran continues to maneuver in order to preserve its position.

Speaking in an interview from 5:32 broadcast on Fox News, Keane explained that while progress has been made toward weakening Iran’s capabilities, the situation remains far from resolved. He noted that Iranian leadership is actively working to safeguard strategic assets, maintain influence, and respond to ongoing pressure.

According to Keane, Iran’s actions indicate a broader strategy aimed at enduring current challenges rather than conceding outright. He suggested that despite mounting pressure, Tehran is unlikely to retreat easily and will continue seeking ways to counter its adversaries while protecting key elements of its military and political structure.

He said, “We’re asking Iran to give up, to surrender everything we’re willing to take away from them—everything. If they don’t do that, no deal. That’s the reality of what we’re facing here.”

Keane emphasized that the demands being placed on Iran are extensive, reflecting the seriousness of concerns surrounding its activities. He added that any potential agreement would depend on Tehran’s willingness to meet those conditions in full.
