Onyeka Nwaobu, also known as Ezeani or “Ichie Millions,” is facing serious accusations of being involved in ritual activities, including allegedly burying people alive in his house in Umumba Ndiagu, Enugu State. Nwaobu attempted to flee Nigeria but was apprehended by the Nigeria Immigration Service at the Seme border while trying to cross into Benin Republic.

A family member of Nwaobu spoke about the allegations against him in an interview with BBC Pidgin. He said Nwaobu returned to Nigeria from Togo not long ago. He said when Nwaobu came back, he began building a large house, and members of his family thought he had become successful. He said they assumed Nwaobu had made legitimate money and were happy for him.

However, he said they did not know that Nwaobu returned with a “juju” that required sacrifice of human heads. “We thought he had made money, but we didn’t know he brought juju back that demands human heads,” the family member said.
