Hon Bernard Mikko, a former House of Representatives member, has stated that the lawmakers led by Martin Amaewhule in Rivers State have not clearly explained why they threatened to impeach Governor Fubara
In a video shared by AIT from from 2:42:23, Mikko said the lawmakers accused Governor Fubara of being ungrateful, but it’s unclear how that could be a reason for impeachment. He said he is still trying to figure out what specific actions the governor has taken to cause such a reaction. He said those pushing for Fubara’s impeachment should clearly state their reasons so everyone can understand what’s really happening.
In Mikko’s words: “Up till this moment we don’t seem to understand what the governor of Rivers State has done to deserve the impeachment threats against him. The grounds of impeachment has not been made known to us. We hear that Governor Fubara is showing gross ingratitude, I don’t know if it is an impeachable offense to show gross ingratitude because up till this moment I am still confused about what he had done.
