In a video shared on Facebook from 8:33, Asari Dokubo, a prominent chieftain of the Kalabari people, voiced his displeasure over the reverence many Nigerians accord Peter Obi.

He remarked that they possess the report card and grades from Obi’s previous tenure, suggesting they have a detailed account of his achievements and shortcomings during his time as governor of Anambra State. His tone conveyed a sense of frustration toward what he perceives as an exaggerated admiration for the former governor.

Continuing his remarks, Dokubo criticized what he sees as a recurring pattern among Nigerians—settling for less in their choice of leaders, only to turn around and chastise those same individuals once elected.

According to him, “I’m surprised that we settle for less, and tomorrow we have the temerity to criticize the people we encouraged in our settling for less. We will turn around and talk from the other side of our mouths. And I always ask this question: you talk about Peter Obi—yes, we have the report sheet, the report card of Peter Obi, the examination he took before—we have his grades with us. So when you talk about Peter Obi, we will say, this Peter Obi, this is his report card; it’s in Anambra State, let us go there and check Anambra State.”
