In a recent video shared by News Central TV from 22:08, Diran Odeyemi, the former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, expressed doubts about the party’s ability to discipline certain key members following the recent setup of a disciplinary committee to address anti-party activities.
Odeyemi said that some members of the PDP, particularly influential leaders such as governors and top financiers, hold too much power within the party, and they are too big to be disciplined. He said that the party should have acted immediately after the elections to address these issues but hesitated due to the influence of these powerful figures.
Odeyemi specifically mentioned the challenges of disciplining individuals like former Governor Wike, Governor Seyi Makinde, and other members of the G-5 Governors, who are seen as major financiers and leaders within the party.
In Odeyemi’s words: “We have big cabals in PDP who are too big to be disciplined. If not, what they are attempting to do now is what they should have done immediately after the election. How do you now discipline the financiers of the party, the governors the likes of Wike, Seyi Makinde, the five of them (G-5 Governors)”….Check–Môre
