In a dramatic escalation of Middle East tensions, Mosab Hassan Yousef has confirmed via his verified Twitter account that Hossein Salami, the commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), has been killed in what he describes as the opening wave of a major Israeli operation.

According to Yousef, the initial phase of the strikes targeted Iran’s top military leaders, nuclear scientists, and key nuclear infrastructure. “This is an open war that might continue for weeks,” he wrote, warning of more high-profile assassinations in the days ahead.

Yousef praised Israel’s preparedness, stating that the country holds a decisive advantage not only in air superiority but also “on the ground and in the heart of the Islamic Republic.” His post suggests that Israeli intelligence services, particularly Mossad, are actively operating deep within Iranian territory.

“Keep the Mossad agents who have been risking their lives beyond enemy lines in your prayers,” he added, noting that the success of what he called a “historic operation” depends on their continued safety.

Hossein Salami, a central figure in Iran’s military and ideological structure, had been at the forefront of the regime’s regional strategy, including support for proxy groups like Hezbollah and Hamas. His reported death marks a significant blow to the Islamic Republic and could further destabilize the region.

Israeli authorities have not officially confirmed the strikes or Salami’s death, but Yousef’s credibility as a former insider and longtime critic of Iran and Islamist groups lends weight to the report.
