The former governor of Anambra state and Labour Party, LP, candidate in the 2023 presidential election, Peter Gregory Obi has stated that people can live in their house and govern Nigeria.
This statement was contained in a viral video that was posted by NEWS CENTRAL TV from 44.52.
Peter Obi was speaking about the cost of the VP’s mansion when he made the comment.
In the viral video, Peter Obi asked that where did Prof Yemi Osinbajo live when he was the vice president of Nigeria. He said when he was the governor of Anambra state, he lived in a three bedroom apartment for one year.
Peter Obi stated that;
“Where did Osinbajo live? People can live in their house and govern Nigeria. When I have no place to live in Awka as a governor, I asked them, do we have any other government house and they told me there is a small three bedroom apartment in Onitsha and I went to go and live there.
