According to News Central TV, The Nigeria Immigration Service has handed over Obi Levi Obieze, also known as Obu Onyeka and E Dey Show, a native doctor from Enugu State, to the Lagos State Police Command following his arrest on May 29, 2025. Obieze was apprehended at the Gbaji checkpoint along Badagry-Seme Road while attempting to flee the country on a motorcycle. He is accused of involvement in the abduction, kidnapping, and ritual killing of a 13-year-old girl in Isiagu Community, Enugu State.

Felix Obu, Onyeka’s uncle, expressed shock and disbelief, according to a tweet by News Central TV. “He [Levi Obieze] was caught in the act, that’s how I knew what he was into… What he did was a taboo,” Felix stated. He revealed that he had suspicions earlier, noting, “I once asked him the job of one person in his house and didn’t get a satisfactory response.” Felix added, “What he did was a taboo. I didn’t know. His real name is Onyeka Obu.”

According to Daily Trust, The arrest follows credible intelligence linking Obieze to multiple crimes, including the kidnapping and alleged ritual killing of the young girl. This incident is said to have ignited fresh outrage over the unchecked activities of native doctors and ritualists in southeastern Nigeria, where cultural traditions often blur the line between mysticism and criminality.
