The former governor of Anambra state and Labour Party, LP candidate in the 2023 presidential election, Peter Gregory Obi has reacted after the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, declared the candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Monday Okpebholo as the winner of the guber election in Edo state.
In a post that Peter Obi shared on his official X handle on Monday, he said all agencies and individuals being used to undermine Nigeria’s democracy should remember that their time is not eternal. He said the society that they are destroying today will take revenge.
He also advised lecturers to reflect deeply on the roles they are playing in damaging the foundation of Nigeria’s democracy.

“To the agencies and individuals being used to undermine our democracy simply because they hold positions of authority, please remember that your time in office is not eternal. The society that you are helping to destroy today will eventually take her revenge on you tomorrow. To the lecturers and others complicit in perpetuating this charade, you must reflect deeply on the roles you are playing in damaging the very foundation of our democracy”.
