A recent speech given by President Tinubu was lauded by Anthony Kila, who said that it successfully underlined the president’s role in unifying and safeguarding the interests of Nigerians while simultaneously encouraging optimism. This appreciation was expressed during an interview on Arise TV from 4:36.
The inclusion of defined timelines and conversations on inflation, in addition to goals for the first and second quarters, was something that he valued. Kila, on the other hand, pointed out that the continued difficulties of the people were recognised, but they were not emphasised enough.
The following is an excerpt from his statement: “I believe the speech was an excellent speech because what is the duty of the president? In addition to bringing the Nigerian people together and protecting their interests, the primary responsibility is to instill a sense of optimism. The fact that there were some clear dates, which is a good aim, is one of the reasons why I believe that it is a positive speech.
He also highlighted a few items pertaining to the calendar, including what he intends to accomplish in the first and second quarters of the year. He also spoke about the pace of inflation. I am of the opinion that the continued suffering of the people, despite the fact that it was recognised, was not emphasised as much as some would have liked it to be.
