Primate Elijah Ayodele, the Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has issued yet another politically charged prophecy, warning President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of potential threats to his re-election chances in 2027.
Speaking on Tuesday during a live session with journalists from 07:12, Ayodele claimed that there are three influential figures whose emergence in Nigeria’s political space could destabilize Tinubu’s hold on power. He stressed that their decision to step forward would signal a turning point in the president’s political future.
“There are three people that must not come out who can create problems for Tinubu,” Ayodele declared. “The day they come out, by 1st of October, if Tinubu is going to be re-elected, he will know. 1st of October. He will even know by himself.”
The cleric, who has a reputation for making political predictions, did not disclose the identities of the three individuals but emphasized that their involvement in politics would reshape the race ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Ayodele’s timeline of October 1st, which coincides with Nigeria’s Independence Day, is particularly symbolic. According to him, that date will mark a period of clarity for Tinubu regarding his political destiny. “He will even know by himself,” Ayodele stressed, suggesting that the president will not need external confirmation to recognize the looming challenge.
The prophecy comes at a time when opposition forces in the country are struggling to unite under a common platform. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) continues to wrestle with internal divisions, while smaller parties such as the Labour Party and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) are trying to carve out a stronger foothold.
Ayodele, however, hinted that Nigeria’s political equation could change dramatically if certain key figures decide to break their silence. “These people have the capacity to alter calculations. Once they step out, the political narrative will no longer be the same,” he warned.
Over the years, the fiery cleric has been outspoken about national politics, consistently urging Nigerian leaders to pay attention to divine direction. He has also called for reforms in governance, warning that neglecting the people’s cries could lead to widespread unrest.
Analysts believe Ayodele’s prophecy adds another layer of intrigue to Nigeria’s evolving political scene. While some dismiss his predictions as mere spiritual speculation, others see them as reflections of underlying realities within the nation’s power structure.
For President Tinubu, who assumed office in May 2023 amid heated campaigns and post-election disputes, Ayodele’s words may serve as a cautionary reminder of the uncertainties ahead. With less than three years to the next election cycle, questions remain about the resilience of his political machinery and the emergence of credible challengers.
