According to the report from the Sun, the former vice presidential candidate of the Young Progressives Party, YPP in the 2019 presidential election, Umma Getso emphasized her belief in President Bola Tinubu’s ability to address Nigeria’s pressing issues, given his extensive political experience and close involvement in previous administrations.

Getso highlighted Tinubu’s role in bringing President Buhari to power and expressed her expectation that Tinubu would have gained valuable insights from Buhari’s successes and failures.

She asserted that as an experienced leader, Tinubu should already possess a clear plan for resolving the country’s challenges, such as economic issues and insecurity, without relying on guidance from individuals like herself.

Getso placed her confidence in Tinubu’s ability to steer Nigeria toward progress and stability, trusting that his seasoned leadership would enable him to effectively tackle the nation’s ongoing problems.

According to Umma Getso, “Anybody that calls himself a leader in the last nine years should have a solution to all these things that we are suffering from, both economy, insecurity etc. Let me be frank with you, I have a lot of confidence in President Tinubu because he has been part of the Buhari government, even since during Sani Abacha. He is somebody with loads of experience, God used him to put President Buhari in power and he saw all the errors of Buhari, so we are now expecting him to have a blueprint, a working project on how to fix back Nigeria.

He should know the errors and the solution more than me and he should just be there to fix things. It’s not me that will provide the solution for them to work on. They should know better what to do and not me telling them what to do.”….Seê Morê
