Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, has revealed that President Bola Tinubu has once again confirmed his support for the current Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji.

In a video shared by SYMFONI TV from 4.29, Fayose made this known during an interview with journalists after visiting the President at his residence in Lagos. He explained that he had discussed the leadership in Ekiti State with President Tinubu and was pleased to hear that the President remains fully behind Governor Oyebanji.

“We have a governor who is doing very well—Oyebanji, the Governor of Ekiti State. All former governors are behind him. For us, it’s not just about politics or party differences, it’s about working together for the good of the people,” Fayose said.

He added that during a previous visit, he asked the President what his position was on Governor Oyebanji, and the President clearly stated his support. To be sure, Fayose asked again during this visit, especially because of the many rumours going around about whether Oyebanji would be supported for a second term.

Fayose said the President responded clearly, “Ayo, that’s where I am. Remain there, and I’ll remain with the governor.”
