Nollywood actor and political commentator Yul Edochie has expressed confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership, commending him for strides in infrastructure and policy implementation. In a statement shared via social media, Edochie noted that Nigerians do not hate President Tinubu, but are reacting to the difficult economic situation and rising insecurity.
He stated that while hardship remains a major concern for many citizens, Tinubu has already made progress in critical areas, especially infrastructure. The actor emphasized that addressing insecurity and reducing the high cost of living will solidify the President’s legacy.
“Your Excellency, you’ve done so well. Nigerians only hate the hardship, not you. Tackle insecurity and high living costs, and you’ll write your name in gold,” Edochie wrote.
He concluded the message with a strong show of support, calling himself an “Asiwaju Boy 100%.”
Edochie’s statement has sparked discussion online, with many Nigerians sharing mixed reactions, some echoing his hope and others urging faster reforms.
The comments come as Tinubu’s administration enters a critical phase of its economic and security agenda.
