According to a report that was published on the official X account of Daily Trust on Thursday, the Ijaw National Congress, INC, has stated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has the choice of choosing between the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike and the governor of Rivers state, Siminalayi Fubara.
The President of the Ijaw National Congress, Benjamin Okaba made the statement after the Rivers state governor was locked out of the assembly complex by lawmakers led by Martin Amaewhule. Recall that Fubara and his aides met the assembly complex sealed after they visited to re-present the budget.
Okaba said Siminalayi Fubara has displayed that he wants peace to reign in the state while the lawmakers have proven that they don’t want that. He said rather than encouraging the former governor of Rivers state to be messing himself up in the public, the President has a choice of choosing between the two leaders.
Okaba vowed that the Ijaw nation will defend the governor of Rivers state with everything.
According to Daily Trust, he said;
“President Tinubu has the choice of choosing between Wike and Ijaw Nation. Let him be encouraging him (Wike) to mess up himself in public. Let him encourage him to be insulting people. But should the otherwise happen, they should not hold the leadership of Ijaw nation responsible”.
