General Tukur Buratai (rtd) has praised the performance of former Governor Rotimi Amaechi in the 2022 APC presidential primary election.

Speaking in a coverage by Symfoni TV, Buratai said Bola Tinubu won the primary election with 1,271 votes, while Rotimi Amaechi came in second with 316 votes. He said although Amaechi didn’t win, he still received more votes than then-Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and then-Senate President Ahmed Lawal.

Buratai said this shows that Amaechi has a bright political future. He said that Amaechi’s position in the primary results shows he is well respected and supported by many people. He said Amaechi will continue to play a major role in the political leadership of Nigeria.
