Presidential aide and lawyer, Daniel Bwala, has highlighted the shared commitment between President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the U.S. President Donald Trump in tackling terrorism and insurgency both within Nigeria and globally.

In a post shared on his official X handle on Saturday, November 1, 2025, Bwala noted that both leaders have demonstrated a strong interest in combating all forms of terrorism threatening humanity. He commended Trump for his past support to Nigeria, particularly in authorizing the sale of arms to aid the country’s counterterrorism operations.

According to Bwala, President Tinubu has effectively utilized such opportunities in strengthening Nigeria’s security framework, leading to what he described as “massive results” in the fight against insurgency.

He stated, “President Trump has assisted Nigeria a lot by authorizing the sale of arms to Nigeria, and President Tinubu has adequately utilized the opportunity in the fight against terrorism for which we have massive results to show.”

Bwala further addressed the ongoing debate on whether terrorist attacks in Nigeria are directed solely at Christians or indiscriminately target all groups, emphasizing that any such differences would be discussed and resolved through diplomatic engagement between the two leaders.

“As for the differences as to whether terrorists in Nigeria target only Christians or in fact all faiths and no faiths, the differences, if they exist, would be discussed and resolved by the two leaders when they meet in the coming days, either in State House or White House,” he wrote.
