Bayo Onanuga, the special adviser to the president on Information and Strategy has taken to his official X handle on Tuesday to share a video of former president Muhammadu Buhari’s campaign in Ibadan, Oyo State. According the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he pointed out that the video was for those who claimed that Buhari’s 12 million votes won him the presidency.

The demise of former president Muhammadu Buhari was filled with controversies, ranging from social media rants regarding his policies, to claims by the former administration that the former president emerged without president Tinubu’s assistance.

However, according to a recent statement which was shared by Bayo Onanuga, president Tinubu’s assistant on Information and Strategy, contrary to widespread beliefs, Buhari enjoyed tremendous help from the current president.

From the video which he shared on his official X handle, the former president can be seen on the campaign ground in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital and a stronghold of the Yorubaland, president Tinubu’s anchor point, with a mammoth crowd cheering him.

In his statements, Bayo Onanuga pointed out that the video was to rejig the memory of those who claimed that only the former president’s 12 million votes won him the presidency in 2015 and 2019.

“A video to rejig the memory of those who claimed only Buhari’s 12 million votes gave him the presidency in 2015 and 2019.” He wrote.
