Abayomi Arabambi, the factional National Publicity Secretary of the Labour Party (LP), has accused Peter Obi, Governor Alex Otti, and other party leaders of exploiting the Labour Party for personal gain, suggesting they are preparing to negotiate with the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for future political alliances.

In an interview with Channels Television FROM 18:24, Arabambi launched a scathing attack on Obi and Otti, claiming they have contributed little to the party and are positioning themselves for a merger with the PDP.

“These people are just grabbers,” Arabambi said, challenging Peter Obi to point to any significant contribution he has made to the Labour Party. “I challenge Peter Obi to point to one bicycle he gave Labour Party. There’s none,” he stated, underscoring his frustration with what he perceives as opportunistic behavior from the party’s recent entrants.

Arabambi claimed that Obi, Otti, and other defectors from the PDP are preparing to rejoin their former party, using the Labour Party as a stepping stone. “But today, they thought we have the power, we have the Senator, we have a governor, let us grab. They are only preparing down for PDP,” Arabambi argued, suggesting that their long-term goal is to negotiate with the PDP for future political leverage.

He further alleged that Obi has been secretly working toward a merger with the PDP until being stopped by PDP officials. “Peter Obi has even been moving around to merge until when the PDP Publicity Secretary said they do not give the power to Atiku, that a candidate cannot negotiate merger on behalf of the party,” Arabambi revealed, indicating that Obi’s efforts to unite the parties had been rebuffed.

Arabambi also pointed to other politicians, such as Darlington Nwokocha and Alex Otti, who, after losing primaries in the PDP, defected to the Labour Party for political survival. “Darlington failed the PDP primary, he ran to Labour Party, Governor Alex Otti did the same. All of them now felt let us come together, so that we will have a ground to negotiate with PDP,” he added….SêeAnother
