In a recent interview with TVC News, Florence Nwaeke, wife of former Head of Service George Nwaeke, has alleged that her husband was forced into making damaging statements against Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his Chief of Staff, Edison Ehie. Her claims have sparked fresh controversy over the ongoing political tension in the state.

According to Florence, her husband’s statements regarding a purported N15 billion scandal were made under duress. She insisted that George Nwaeke had no prior knowledge of the allegations before he was allegedly coerced into making public statements that implicated the governor. The accusations, she said, were part of a larger scheme to tarnish Governor Fubara’s administration and create discontent within the state government.

The controversy stems from reports suggesting that Abuja authorities provided intelligence on the alleged financial misappropriation, leading to increasing political pressure on officials associated with Governor Fubara. Observers believe the allegations may be tied to ongoing power struggles within the state’s political landscape. Meanwhile, the governor’s office has yet to issue an official statement regarding the claims.

My husband said he doesn’t think there’s anything like N15 billion, that he’s not aware. You can click the button below for more news.
