According to a video report by Trust TV from 2:38, a wedding celebration in Jibia, Katsina State, turned into a scene of tragedy just three days after the nuptials, as a man identified as Abubakar Abdulkarim, popularly known as Dan Gaske, was reportedly stabbed to death by his wife.

Mr. Abdulkarim and his bride, Zainab Muhammad, were married on Thursday, 20 November, in a ceremony described by relatives as peaceful and consensual. Friends and family gathered to celebrate what was expected to be the beginning of a happy union. However, the joy quickly dissipated when the groom was discovered dead in their home on Sunday, with a deep cut to his neck.

The circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation. Local authorities have reportedly taken Zainab into custody for questioning, while forensic teams continue to examine the scene for evidence. Neighbors and attendees expressed shock, as the couple appeared to be well-suited and the marriage had begun without any reported disagreements.

Authorities have also noted the presence of some bottles, believed to contain drugs, at the residence, though it remains unclear whether they played a role in the incident. Meanwhile, the community has called for calm and urged that the matter be handled through the proper legal channels.

The family of the deceased has appealed for justice, emphasizing that they will not take the law into their own hands despite the severity of the tragedy.
