In a recent incident in Kaduna State, Nigeria, armed bandits ambushed a pickup truck in Akoti village, stealing food supplies such as rice, vegetable oil, and bottled water.

This attack followed another incident just two days earlier, where bandits targeted a motorcyclist carrying similar goods.

According to Punch, a source reported that the bandits emerged from a nearby forest, flagged down the truck, punctured its tires, and forced the vehicle into a secluded area. After taking the items, the bandits released both the driver and the conductor without causing harm.

According to the source, “The bandits suddenly emerged from the forest wielding AK-47 rifles and flagged down the pickup van, deflated some tyres and diverted it into the forest.”

The ongoing issue of banditry continues to affect local communities, raising concerns about safety and daily life.
