A former member of President Bola Tinubu’s campaign council has made serious allegations against former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, accusing him of deliberately spreading misinformation and mixing personal grievances with national politics.

Biodun Ajiboye, speaking during a candid interview on News Central TV, challenged the veracity of El-Rufai’s recent public statements about the current administration’s performance.

“You see, all the things he was saying that the government had made no impact—he was lying and lying about Mallam Nuhu Ribadu,” Ajiboye stated. “He had a problem with Mallam Ribadu that is yet unresolved. That’s between the two of them. You shouldn’t bring that to national politics.”

According to Ajiboye, El-Rufai’s claims have been systematically challenged by government officials and agencies.

“Two, he kept lying about everything he said, to the extent that the office of the National Security Adviser had taken him up, debunking all his lies,” he continued. “Even the governor of Kaduna State had taken him up, debunking his lies.”

The former campaign council member suggested that El-Rufai’s actions could have serious legal consequences, citing warnings from official quarters.

“In fact, they are saying that if he’s not careful, he’ll be arrested because he’s attempting to destabilize the government,” Ajiboye revealed. “And I agree with them.”

Ajiboye also criticized what he described as inappropriate language directed at the president, though he declined to repeat the specific terms.

These allegations further escalate the ongoing public dispute between El-Rufai and various government officials, highlighting deepening rifts within Nigeria’s political establishment as tensions continue to mount over the former governor’s recent public statements.
