The Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area, Samuel Nwanosike has accused the Rivers State Government of releasing criminals and militants from prisons, allegedly to use them as tools of intimidation and violence against the 21 Local Government Chairmen.

He argued that these individuals who were once driven out of the state due to their criminal activities are now being reintegrated into the state. He further accused the governor’s Chief of Staff and ADC of orchestrating these activities and leading the released individuals to bombard the state councils.

He said in an interview with TVC from 1:35, ”We can now see clearly that the crime and criminality that have been tamed by the previous administration have all been brought back by this current governor. They are releasing criminals and militants from prisons just to attack us. These are men who committed crimes and vacated this state but they are returning them back to town.

And these people were led by the Chief of Staff and the ADC to the governor. Even when the police have made an official statement that they have taken all over the councils but they are shooting policemen and beating up people.”…..Sée Móre
