Commodore Kunle Olawunmi (rtd), former Deputy Director of Defence Administration at the Defence Headquarters, has stated that President Bola Tinubu must take decisive actions against those sponsoring terrorism in Nigeria.
According to a report by Punch on Sunday, November, Olawunmi said some sponsors of terrorism are trying to make Tinubu’s government ungovernable. He said they are preparing to frustrate him ahead of the 2027 elections, just as they did to former President Goodluck Jonathan.
Olawunmi said these sponsors of terrorism should have been arrested long ago because they became very rich during the last administration of Buhari.
Speaking further, He said Tinubu should summon all intelligence chiefs and instruct them to identify both local and foreign sponsors of terrorism. He said that once these financiers of terrorism are arrested, tried for treason, and punished accordingly, terrorism in Nigeria would reduce by half.
