According to the Daily Post, on Thursday, December 4, 2025, former presidential media aide Bashir Ahmad praised the decision of President Donald Trump’s administration to bar individuals linked to financing or supporting terrorism from entering the United States.
DAILY POST reports that the U.S. Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, announced on Wednesday that the U.S. government would impose visa restrictions on anyone who “knowingly directs, authorises, funds, supports, or carries out violations of religious freedom.”
The announcement has drawn widespread approval from many Nigerians and international advocates, especially those who believe Christians in Nigeria are facing persecution.
Responding to the development, Bashir shared a message on his official X handle on Wednesday night, describing the visa restriction as a positive step.
He wrote that the decision is timely and necessary. According to him, anyone whether within Nigeria or abroad who contributes to unrest, destruction, or violence in the country deserves to be denied access to the U.S. “Ban them all,” he insisted.
He said, “They are also killing my fellow Muslims, not only your Christian brothers and sisters.”
Bashir added that anyone who threatens Nigeria’s peace and stability should lose the privilege of ever entering the United States again. View, More,
