Billy Gillis-Harry, president of the Petroleum Products Retail Outlet Owners Association of Nigeria, has given his take on the recent hike in the price of fuel.
Several Nigerians have taken to the streets to express their grievances regarding the hike in the prices of commodities and petroleum products, which was said to have followed the removal of fuel subsidies by the current administration led by the president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Things escalated as the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited announced a new increase in the prices of Premium Motor Spirit, popularly known as petrol across the country.
However, during an interview with Arise News from 6:18, Gillis-Harry stated that there is nowhere in the world where petroleum products are being sold for less than a dollar per litre.
According to the video, “I do not know anywhere in this world today that petroleum products are sold per litre for less than $1.”….Sêe _ Morê
