In a televised address on Symfoni TV from 6:57, Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed addressed the ongoing political crisis in Rivers State, offering a robust defense of Governor Siminalayi Fubara while explaining his previous period of restraint.
Responding to the ongoing tensions between Nyesom Wike and Fubara, Mohammed was unequivocal about his strategic silence. “These days, I have kept quiet—not because I am afraid of anyone—but because there is no need to talk to those who act like logs of wood and stones,” he declared.
Elaborating on his communication strategy, the governor emphasized, “They don’t listen, see, or feel.”
Mohammed then shifted focus to a message of hope and support for Fubara’s leadership, urging continued backing from the public. “We look forward to 2027. Make sure this governor (Fubara) continues with what he is doing. Would you do that?” he challenged.
Offering a powerful character endorsement, Mohammed stated, “He is a good man, a simple man, and a sincere man. Please, follow him.”
Concluding with an assurance of positive leadership, the governor declared, “When you do, he will not lead you to destruction. You will succeed.”
The governor’s remarks provide insight into the complex political dynamics of Rivers State and offer a strong vote of confidence in Governor Fubara’s leadership.
