Leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has cautioned Nigeria’s Department of State Services (DSS) to brace up for evolving kidnapping patterns across the country, warning that even operatives of the agency could become targets.
In a message posted on his official Facebook page on Sunday, August 24, 2025, Ayodele predicted that the security agency would play a crucial role in tackling a shift in kidnapping tactics, particularly in the eastern and northern regions of Nigeria.
He said: “Then I want to tell the DSS that, ah, I said DSS will do so much work because the kidnapping system will change. The way they will be kidnapping. In the east, in the north, will change. And DSS will devise, will have a very powerful devise. That when you do anything of such, it will give them a lot. It’s going to help the DSS very well.”
The cleric, however, warned of dangers facing the agency itself. “But, ah, you now see one thing. DSS that is working on kidnapping. Let them pray to that they will not kidnap any DSS too. It’s a very serious matter. So, they will just, they will kidnap DSS. So, let them watch out and be very proactive,” he cautioned.
Ayodele further stressed that his prophecy should not be dismissed: “Because, DSS will forsake DSS. No be wahala with that? If you ham like, listen. If you no like, ham don’t listen, no. Call ham doomed. Call ham fake. Call ham lie. When it happens now, they will remember. Yes, you always remember. Ah, one man talk more, they no good. We talk that time better. I’m telling them right now.”
