Abayomi Arabambi, the National Secretary of the Labour Party, has sparked political debate with a scathing remark about Peter Obi’s prospects within the rumored coalition of political heavyweights, including Atiku Abubakar, Rotimi Amaechi, and Nasir El-Rufai.

Speaking during an interview on Channels Television, Arabambi dismissed any notion of Obi clinching the presidential ticket if the coalition materializes ahead of the 2027 elections.

According to him, the real contest lies between Atiku and Amaechi, both of whom he described as more politically grounded and influential within the emerging alliance.

“The ticket is between Atiku and Amaechi. Obi is going to be a sleeping boy in that gangster,” Arabambi said, suggesting that Obi lacks the political weight and internal leverage needed to compete effectively within such a powerful circle.

Political analysts note that while Obi enjoys a large youth following and online presence, his ability to assert influence within a multi-party coalition dominated by established political figures remains uncertain.
