A Former Niger Delta Militant, Asari Dokubo speaking after the just concluded local government election in Rivers State has alleged that the people of Rivers State are the true owners of the state and they will not submit to any external forces from Abuja.
He stated that anyone who attempts to undermine the democratic process in the state will face the consequences of the people’s wrath. He argued that the local government election is a testament to the resilience and determination of the people of Rivers State to protect their democratic rights and ensure that their voices are heard.
He said in an interview with Arise TV From 1:11, ”The Rivers State people are the owners of Rivers state, nobody can decide for us from Abuja. Anybody who is under the illusion that he will be able to cow Rivers’s people or thinking that Rivers people will submit to him, that person must visit a doctor.
Anybody who attempt to tamper with our vote will see the consequences and the wrath of the people of River State. The people of River State will embrace the outcome of the election and they will protect the Mandate given to the people that were election. Nobody and no matter how Sinister he is will be able to truncate and undermine the will of the people of River State.”
