According to a Wednesday 15 of October, 2025, report by IRNA News Agency, the Secretary-General of the Islamic Jihad resistance movement, Mohammad al-Hindi, has firmly rejected any suggestion that Palestinian resistance factions have agreed to disarm, dismissing such claims as baseless.

In a statement published by Al Jazeera on Tuesday, al-Hindi reiterated the group’s unwavering stance on preserving their weapons, stating: “The Resistance will not accept threats to forcibly seize their weapons.”

He directly refuted allegations that the recent ceasefire agreement in Gaza contains any hidden provisions requiring disarmament. “There are no secret clauses in the Gaza ceasefire agreement,” al-Hindi said, calling Israeli claims to the contrary “mere rumors with no basis in fact.”

According to al-Hindi, such misinformation is part of a broader Israeli strategy to derail the implementation of the ceasefire agreement. He noted that obstruction by the regime was anticipated and that resistance factions remain alert to any violations.

“The Resistance factions are closely monitoring the implementation of the deal to ensure that the rights of the Palestinian people are upheld,” he emphasized.

The ceasefire, brokered after weeks of indirect negotiations, was announced on October 9. According to the United States (U.S.) officials, the agreement was reached between Israel and Hamas with mediation by Turkey, Egypt, and Qatar, under the supervision of the America.

While the agreement marks a temporary halt to active hostilities, the broader political landscape remains tense, especially amid ongoing speculation around long-term security arrangements and international pressure on Palestinian factions to demilitarize.

Al-Hindi’s statement comes amid a flurry of reports and official comments from Israeli sources suggesting that disarmament may be a component of the agreement — a narrative the Resistance flatly denies.

As of now, no official text of the ceasefire has been made public, and Palestinian factions insist that their right to resist occupation remains non-negotiable.

Al-Hindi concluded by reaffirming the Resistance’s unity and readiness to respond to any breaches: “We are prepared for every scenario, and will not compromise on the rights and dignity of our people.” See, More, Here>>>
