Amid the ongoing crisis in the country, a former Senator representing the Kaduna Central District in the 8th National Assembly, Shehu Sani strongly condemned the ‘Quit notice’ issued to Igbos residing in Lagos, describing it as baseless and deserving of criticism.
According to the report, Shehu Sani said this while reacting to a post on X by a pro-Lagos government X handle, @lagospedia, calling on stakeholders in Lagos and other South-West states to prepare for massive #IgboMustGo protest from August 20 to 30.
The post read, “Lagosians and every South-West stakeholders should prepare for the massive protest of #IgboMustGo on the 20th-30th of August.
They have one month from now to leave and relocate their business from all South-West states. We urge all Yorubas living in the South-East to return home.”
However, Shehu Sani in a post he shared on his official X handle, called upon both the federal and state governments to ensure the protection of the Igbos, who were being targeted by a faceless hate group, emphasizing that the well-being and safety of all citizens, regardless of their ethnicity, must be prioritized.
According to Shehu Sani;
“The ‘Quit notice’ given to the Igbos in Lagos is senseless and condemnable. The Federal and State Governments must ensure they are adequately protected on the so-called dates issued for them by the faceless hate group.”….Sêe_Morē
