According to a report by the Punch News on Monday, November 10, 2025, Ken Mulla, who claimed that his uncle, Omozokpia William, was one of the seven rescued victims from kidnappers in the Ewohimi area of Esan South-East Local Government Area, has debunked the claims by the police, saying that the police did not even know when the victims came back from the hands of the kidnappers.

Mulla asked how and when the Edo State Police rescued the kidnapped victims, questioning their approach to insecurity in Esan land. He mentioned his uncle, Omozokpia William.

He stated that the family and community paid N6.5m for the victims’ release, but the police didn’t even know when they were returned. He questioned why the Edo State Police are lying to citizens and who’s responsible for the situation.
