In a fiery interview on Channels Television, prominent member of the All Progressives Congress, Adamu Garba lashed out at opposition parties describing them as political opportunists who thrive on the ruling party’s misfortunes.

Speaking on the state of Nigeria’s political landscape, Garba accused opposition elements of hoping for the APC’s downfall in order to benefit from the chaos.

He likened them to scavengers circling over troubled waters, saying, “The oppositions are like vultures, they are just waiting to cash out on the carcass. The more we lose, the more they gain, so they hope for our loss.”

Garba’s comment comes amid growing criticism of the APC-led federal government over economic hardships, security challenges and perceived policy failures.

The opposition, especially the Peoples Democratic Party and Labour Party have intensified their attacks, claiming the ruling party has failed to deliver on its promises.

Garba insists that the APC remains strong and capable of weathering the storm. He maintained that the party is focused on governance and rebuilding trust with Nigerians despite what he described as “desperate distractions” from opposition groups.

His remarks have sparked mixed reactions, with some seeing them as a deflection from legitimate criticisms, while others agree that opposition parties often fail to provide constructive alternatives.
