Bayo Onanuga, a senior aide to President Bola Tinubu, has alleged that supporters of Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) 2023 presidential candidate, are plotting to cause unrest in Nigeria.

According to Daily Post, Onanuga accused Obi’s supporters of orchestrating nationwide protests aimed at creating mayhem.

He described Obi as a failed presidential candidate and insisted that the former candidate should be held accountable for any turmoil resulting from these planned actions.

Using his X handle, Onanuga stated that the individuals behind these proposed protests are the same ones who, under the influence of Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), initiated the ENDSARS protests in Nigeria in October 2020.

He drew parallels between the current protest plans and the past demonstrations, suggesting a recurring pattern of disruptive activities.

Onanuga contends that the motivations behind these protests are not genuinely about addressing grievances but are politically charged manoeuvres intended to destabilise the current administration.

Onanuga said, “Peter Obi’s supporters are the people planning mayhem in Nigeria. Obi should be held responsible for anarchy.

“Don’t be fooled: the malcontents planning to stage nationwide protests are supporters of Peter Obi, the failed presidential candidate of the Labour Party. And he should be held responsible for whatever crisis emanates from the action.”….Seë_Morë
