During the “Provoking God’s Blessings” service at Salvation Ministries, Pastor David Ibiyeomie delivered a powerful message titled “Accessing Your Inheritance – Part 2.”
In his sermon from 2 hours 15 minutes, he emphasized the importance of commitment to God and soul-winning as fundamental aspects of a Christian’s life.
Pastor Ibiyeomie began by highlighting the necessity of discipline and commitment, drawing a parallel to first-class students who excel by adhering to a rigorous study regimen.
“You can’t have a first-class brain and not be committed to a first-class lifestyle. Commitment is a must,” he asserted, urging the congregation to prioritize their commitment to God above all else, as outlined in Matthew 6:33 and Mark 12:30.
He then stressed the significance of expanding God’s Kingdom through soul-winning and prayer. “Be committed to the expansion of His Kingdom by winning souls and praying for the advancement of His Kingdom,” he said, declaring, “The devils that can stop you have not been born.”
He emphasized that true commitment to God is demonstrated through active participation in soul-winning, noting that there is greater joy in Heaven over one soul that is saved than any miracle performed on Earth.
Referencing Psalm 24:10, Pastor Ibiyeomie reinforced the idea that those who seek the Lord will lack no good thing. He reminded the congregation that miracles are meant to draw sinners to Christ, but the ultimate joy in Heaven comes from soul-winning.
“All the miracles that happen on earth are to draw sinners to Christ. They are for this Earth, but the only thing that makes Heaven rejoice is soul-winning,” he said.
Pastor Ibiyeomie also challenged the congregation to reflect on their personal contributions to God’s Kingdom. He admonished those who had not brought a single soul to Christ, calling them a disappointment to God.
“Since this year started, they cannot point out one soul that you brought to Christ. Boy! You are a disappointment to God,” he stated, emphasizing that Christianity is not about self-satisfaction but about pleasing God through service and obedience.
He concluded by underscoring the importance of obeying God’s command to preach the Gospel to every creature, as stated in Mark 16:15. Drawing an analogy to parental love, he explained that God loves those who obey Him more, just as parents favor obedient children.
“If you think all of us God loves us equally, it’s a lie! Even you, will you love your children equally?” he asked, driving home the point that obedience and commitment to God’s work are paramount….Seë_Morë
