Gospel musician and digital content creator, King Adeyinka Oluwatobi Oluwafemi, who is popularly addressed as Nifemi Gold, has opened up about the personal struggles behind her current health status and challenges with speech. She revealed that her condition was not something she was born with, but rather the aftermath of a life-changing event.

While speaking during an interview on the WasilaCoded TV Podcast, Nifemi shared that she had no speech impairment during her early years. According to her, she grew up talking like every other child and there were no concerns about her communication abilities. In fact, her parents, even before her birth, had been told through spiritual revelations that she would be an extraordinary child with a unique destiny. Those prophetic messages had given her family high expectations about the life she was going to live.

However, her story took a painful turn much later in adulthood. Nifemi explained that at the age of 28, she suffered a tragic accident that completely changed her life. She slipped, fell, and sustained severe injuries that eventually confined her to a wheelchair. It was after this traumatic experience that she began to face difficulties with her speech.

The singer emphasized that the accident was the major turning point in her journey. The physical damage not only restricted her mobility but also affected her ability to express herself verbally, something she had never struggled with before. Despite these challenges, she has continued to pursue her passion for music and content creation, using her story to inspire others facing similar struggles.

In her own words, she explained:

“I wasn’t born Dumb. I spoke when I was supposed to. According to what my parents told me, before I was born, there had been a lot of visions about the kind of child I would be. Concerning the delay in speech it was when I slipped and fell it was due to the accident that made me sit on wheelchair currently. That was what brought delay in talking. I was 28 years old before the incident happened.”
