According to a report by the Punch News on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, Duuni Olafeso, one of the residents of the Cele Nica community in the Ojo Local Government Area where armed robbers attacked a barber shop, revealed that the barber said the bullets hit all of them, but he pretended to be dead after he was shot in the back.
It was reported that the robbers entered the area around 9pm and went straight into the barber’s shop to rob those that were there. Members of the community heard the sound of gunshots, then rushed to the scene of the accident and met the victims lying in a pool of blood.
Duuni Olafeso, a resident, recounted the incident, saying the robbery was carried out by about three individuals. According to the injured barber, who is currently hospitalised, two of the robbers entered the shop pretending to be customers. They ordered everyone to lie down and proceeded to collect money and phones.
When Chijindu mentioned he had only N1,000 for his haircut, the third robber, positioned at the entrance, became enraged and ordered the others to “waste them”. The barber stated that the robbers then opened fire, hitting all three victims. He said he was shot in the back but played dead to survive.
He said, “The barber said the bullets hit all three of them, but he pretended to be dead after he was shot in the back.”
