Major General Sani Usman Kukasheka (rtd) has spoken about the abduction of his friend, Major General Muhammad Tsiga (rtd), by bandits who are now demanding a ransom.
Speaking in a video shared by Channels TV, Kukasheka disclosed that contrary to earlier reports, the bandits were not asking for 250 million naira but a staggering 400 million naira ransom. He expressed deep concern over how someone of Tsiga’s status could be treated in such a manner.
General Kukasheka disclosed that General Tsiga, who once served as the Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), dedicated his life to serving the country and continued supporting vulnerable people in his community even after retirement.

In General Kukasheka’s words: “Point of correction, it is not even 250 million naira they (bandits) were looking for, they were looking for 400 million naira. And this is a gentle man who, after meritorious service to the fatherland and rising to even become the Director General of NYSC, went back to his community to give the best he could in terms of support to the vulnerable among the society. A person of such calibre was taken just like a chicken or a dog.
