In a video that was shared by Channels Television, Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri strongly warned against a planned political gathering linked to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike. Speaking at the 37th State Security Council meeting, Governor Diri said the event, which has been advertised on social media, could disrupt the peace of the state.

The governor pointed fingers at George Turnah, a politician from Bayelsa, who is said to be organizing the event at Tombia Roundabout. Diri emphasized that Bayelsa is not the FCT and insisted that Wike, who is not from the state, should not be hosted there for such a gathering.
